The pro-Ukrainian sentiments are intensifying among the local population of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts.

The press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Maksym Prauta reported this during a briefing, citing information from the Main Intelligence Directorate.

«The pro-Ukrainian sentiments among the population on the uncontrolled territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts are growing; this fact significantly affects the moral and psychological state of the Russian-occupation forces. There is a growing reluctance to participate in hostilities among the servicemen of the advanced units of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) Army Corps of the Military Forces of the Russian Federation,» the speaker said.

According to the intelligence data, 9 military have deserted from the position of one of the advanced units of the 1st Army Corps over the past two weeks; the rest are planning to be transferred to rear units or to leave the service.
