Russia continues to supply weapons and ammunition, prohibited by international conventions, to the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.

This was announced by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmytro Gutsulyak, with reference to the information of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

"The command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues to supply weapons and ammunition, including weapons prohibited by international conventions, to the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts," said Gutsulyak.

According to intelligence data, at the end of January, divisions of formations and parts of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) army corpuses of the Russian Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received another batch of anti-personnel mines of pressure action and fragmentation damage (OZM-72). Subsequently, the enemy engineer units set up additional mine-blast barriers at the frontline positions of the Russian occupation forces in all directions.

At the same time, these measures have traditionally been carried out in a hurry, without proper documentation.

“These criminal acts of the Russian occupation forces increase the mine danger in the region and pose a threat to the civilians, not to mentioning it often lead to the loss of the occupiers themselves. Thus, on February 8, the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, while trying to go beyond the front lines of the occupying forces, was blown up on the mines laid earlier by the enemy engineer units,” added the Defense Ministry speaker.

As The Journalist reported, British Defense Minister accused Russia intending to seize Ukraine.
