Land plots in the occupied Donbas are being seized from the local residents and budgetary institutions for use as military ground for the occupying troops, told Colonel Maksym Prauta, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, citing the Defense Intelligence Directorate report.
«The Command of the Russian occupation forces is intensified combat training of formations and units of the 1st and 2nd army corps (armed forces of the Russian Federation), including the so-called «mobilization reserve,» – said Prauta.
It is noted that «the training of reservists is supposed to be carried out on an ongoing basis, which requires additional places, areas for their placement and training.»
«In this regard, the enemy is expanding areas for deployment educational, material and technical base facilities,» – the speaker added.
«Since the beginning of October, the so-called «executive authorities» seized land plots with a total area of about 40 hectares from the local residents and state institutions, for use them as military grounds for Russian troops. This caused numerous manifestations of outrage and growth of protest moods of the local population,» – says Prauta.
