Groysman does not know how to hike gas price to meet IMF demand and to prevent the government shutdown

Ukraine PM Volodymyr Groysman said that the government is working on how to fulfill the requirement of the International Monetary Fund in bring gas prices to the market level for the population and at the same time to considered the solvency of the customers.

PM Groysman said this in his speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

«We think how to solve out of this situation on the IMF obligations», – PM said.

Groysman noted that the decision to raise gas prices can be used to discredit the Government.

«I know that there are many people saying: Groysman is to blame for this. But neither I nor the Ukrainians are not responsible for that. We must find the right way out of this difficult situation», – Mr Groysman said.

Groysman also noted that the Government’s course on energy independence in the future will help to avoid a constant increase of the prices due to the binding to import parity.
