During September, the Russian command secretly rotated the personnel of engineering units of the so-called 1st and 2nd army corps in Donbas.
This was announced by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Hutsuliak, citing the General Directorate for Defence Intelligence.
«During September 2018, the units of 1st and 2nd army corps of the Russian Armed Forces have conducted a secret personnel rotation in the engineering units,» – the Spokesman said.
According to Hutsuliak, the Russian officers of engineering services have carried out the transfering of their posts – including technical documentation, maps, installation and maintenance schemes for minefields – formally and with violations.
«This has already led to the cases when the enemy personnel and the civilian population have blown up on their own minefields.»
