Russian diplomats massively take their children from British private schools

The number of Russian students in the British private schools has dramatically decreased.

This information was provided by the organization of the Independent Schools Council (ISC), which unites 1300 British educational institutions, Radio Liberty reports.

The decline of the number of Russian students in British schools is explained with the deterioration of relations between Moscow and London after the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury. After this incident, the British Government expelled a large group of Russian diplomats with their families from the UK.

It is noted that in April 2015, almost 2,800 Russians studied in private schools in the UK, and by April 2018 their number has gone down by more than a third to 1,700.

As The Journalist reported, Double agent Skripal was poisoned by two teams of Russian hitmen.
