Russian passports issued to residents of the occupied Donbas valid only in one region

This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense Dmytro Gutsulyak, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

Dmytro Gutsulyak noted that according to the information of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, among local residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblast growing discontent with the peculiarities of granting Russian citizenship. The point is that the Russian passport will have a note about “limited opportunities” and will be valid only on the territory of the Rostov region.

“At the same time, the leadership of the so-called “security agencies of LNR/DNR” began conducting activities to identify individuals who express dissatisfaction with the specifics of obtaining Russian passports for carrying out appropriate preventive conversation with them,” the Defense Ministry spokesman added.

Main Intelligence Directorate also reports that the occupation administration is taking active measures to fulfill plans to provide Russian citizenship to the population of the occupied territories, namely, they increase the level of campaigning, simplify the procedures for obtaining Russian passports by reducing the number of certificates required for registration.

As The Journalist reported, Russian passports will be issued primarily to the security forces of the “LNR/DNR”.
