The Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a new strategy for Ukraine, defining the priorities for the financial institution activity in the country for the next five years.
The bank will pay special attention to the investments projects combined with the promotion of reforms in such areas as privatization, energy security and efficiency, the financial sector, trade and infrastructure, Interfax Ukraine inform agency reports.
It is noted that the EBRD operational and strategic priorities in Ukraine can be united into the next main groups: promotion of privatization, and commercialization of public owned; promoting the rule of law and fair competition in the private sector; strengthening the energy security; increasing the sustainability of the financial system; improving integration by facilitating trade and investment.
In addition, the new strategy replaces the crisis response packages, which have been implemented in Ukraine since 2014, considering the volatility of her political and macroeconomic environment.
Recall that the EBRD is the largest international financial investor in Ukraine.
As The Journalist reported, the EBRD will invest a quarter of a billion euros in the renewable energy of Ukraine.
