In 2019, SBU military CI department exposed 17 foreign agents who conducted activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the SBU press service.
Since the beginning of 2019, the Security Service recorded 67 facts of referrals to information with limited access of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made by representatives of 14 foreign states, 21 foreigners were expelled.
At the same time, the CI service terminated the activities of 17 agents of the intelligence services of foreign countries, including current and former military personnel of the Armed Forces.
Military counterintelligence exposed attempts to recruit representatives of the Ukrainian troops by Russian special services and the so-called “D/LPR” through social networks.
