SBU blocks weapons distribution scheme organized by ISIL supporters in Ukraine

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine have blocked a distribution channel for weapons and ammunition organized by supporters of the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIL). This is reported by the press service of the SBU.
The source reports that citizens of Central Asian countries, using fake documents, illegally arrived in Ukraine after being deported from the territory of another Asian country because of links with ISIL.

Law enforcement officers detained one of the participants of the group for selling two foreign-made pistols and ammunition.

«It has been established that a detainee in his home country was wanted for participation in armed units, armed conflicts or military actions on the territory of other states and financing of crimes of a terrorist nature. During searches at the place of residence of the defendants in the case, law enforcement officers seized four F-1 grenades and a RGD-5 grenade, symbols of an international terrorist organization and money from the sale of weapons and ammunition,» the statement said.

It is noted that the arms dealer placed into custody. Other members of the group are wanted.

As The Journalist reported, employees of the SBU have exposed seven specialists of the national defense industry complex of Ukraine on the illegal provision of repair services for the military equipment abroad.
