Second Hackathon Event held in Kyiv

The Second National Defense Hackathon (a competition of military programmers) will be held on the basis of the UnitCity innovation park from May 27 to May 31 in Kyiv.

According to the Cabinet, the hackathon will be held according to the standards of the NATO competition TIDE (Transportation Information for Decision Enhancement) Hackathon.

During the week, 14 teams of Ukrainian programmers (42 young specialists) and 15 experts from NATO institutes and Alliance member countries will work on three types of tasks: modeling, coding, and combined competitions.

According to the organizers, the participants of the competition should develop a number of architectural, software and procedural decisions that will enable them to effectively cope with the compatibility issues in the security and defense sector of Ukraine in the future.

It is noted that competitions of the TIDE Hackathon concept are traditional for NATO military, thus increasing the coherence of the work of the various divisions of the Alliance.

As The Journalist reported, NATO is planning a new military strategy because of the nuclear threat from Russia.
