U.S. Republican Senator Rob Portman, after meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, promised to continue supporting Ukraine.
Portman wrote about this on his Twitter page.
“I had the pleasure of meeting the newly elected Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy earlier this week. He is committed to strengthening US ties and pushing back on Russian aggression,” said Portman.
He noted that the U.S. Senate would continue to support a free and democratic Ukraine through appropriate U.S. military, political, and economic assistance.
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky will meet with the President of the European Council of Tusk on June 5 in Brussels.
