The Servant of the People has developed a draft law on legalization of cannabis in medicine. This was reported by the deputy of the Servant of the People fraction Evheniya Kravchuk.
The bill may be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada in the coming months. According to the deputy, many of her colleagues are ready to support the initiative on the legalization of medical cannabis.
The author of the project was a deputy from the Servant of the People Party, director Leo Leros.
“Colleagues from the faction promised to register a bill that would regulate the legalization of medical cannabis,” Kravchuk said.
“This is not about complete legalization. It is already has being discussed by the society for long time. I know that many deputies are ready to support medical cannabis,” the MP said.
Back in May, Verkhovna Rada introduced bill #10313, which legalizes the use of medical cannabis in Ukraine. Some 51 MPs from different factions signed the document. The bill was developed in response to the petition on the legalization of medical cannabis registered on January 30, 2019 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada and in 42 days collected 25,000 votes, necessary for its consideration.
