Illegally sentenced by the Russian Federation, Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov declared an indefinite hunger strike. A doctor visits him every day.
This was told by Sentsov’s sister Natalya Kaplan on the Hromadske Radio.
«The doctor came to Oleh today. He visits him every day, assessing his condition as stable. It was cold in his prison cell, so the heating was increased. The prosecutors and penitentiary service workers visited him and asked him to stop starving, but he stands his ground like he did before», – said Ms Kaplan.
According to Sentsov’s sister, there is no reason for distrusting the doctor’s statements about Oleg’s condition, because it is an emergency situation for the colony and they will try to maintain his state of health.
«The lawyer will go to Oleg next week. No one else is allowed to see him for now», – she noted.
As «The Journalist» reported, Kremlin comments on possibility of exchanging Sentsov.
