The researchers found two types of tiny frogs of the family of short-headed, whose skeleton is capable of emitting light. They live in the woods of Brazil, very poisonous and are among the smallest amphibians on Earth, reports Hromadske.

Also, a group of scientists has found out that the growth of the skeleton of these amphibians, which are located directly under the skin; begin to shine brightly when illuminated with ultraviolet light: visually amphibian becomes spotted. It is noted that the fluorescence of bones in vertebrates is not a rare phenomenon, at the same time; this phenomenon differs significantly less brightness. According to scientists, such a feature is related to the lure of the opposite sex, and perhaps to the scare of predators.

It is also noted that the frogs of the species Brachycephalus ephippium and B. Pitanga do not hear their own quack, because their hearing aids are not adapted to the perception of the sounds of the required frequency.

Previously, the “Journalist” reported that the researchers had discovered in humans an unknown science of the network of vessels inside the bones.
