The representatives of the Sluga Narody party commented on the proposal of the head of the Office of President Andrii Bohdan to grant a regional language status to Russian in Donbas as his personal position, which does not reflect the position of the party. This was stated by presidential representative in the parliament, the second number on the party list Ruslan Stefanchuk on the ICTV channel.
“I think it should definitely be interpreted as a personal position of Andrii Bohdan, since it does not quite correlate with what is stated in the program of our party”, he said.
According to Stefanchuk, the decisive factor for the party is the provision of Article 10 of the Constitution, according to which the only state language is Ukrainian.
