Smolii filed Rozhkova’s candidacy for the NBU first Deputy

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) confirmed the information that Smolii filed candidacy of Kateryna Rozhkova for the first deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine and Serhii Holod for deputy governor of the central bank.

This was reported by UNIAN, citing the NBU press service.

«In response to your request, we confirm that the Chairman of the National Bank, Yakiv Smolii, in accordance with the procedures, filed an appropriate submission to the Council of the NBU of the candidature of Ekaterina Rozhkova for the first deputy governor and Serhii Holod for deputy governor of the NBU», – the message said.

The press service noted that the Chairman of the National Bank hopes the Council will support proposed candidates, and soon the board of the regulator will work in full.

As «The Journalist» reported, the National Bank appealed the court’s decision to limit the powers of the NBU deputy head Rozhkova.
