Accomplice of the Deputy of the Odessa Regional Council was detained on offering a bribe to the NABU Detective

On June 15, the alleged accomplice of the Deputy of the Odessa Regional Council, was detained on suspicion of offering 500 thousand USD of improper advantage to the employee of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). This is reported by the press service of the Agency.
It is reported that a bribe was offered to the NABU employee for terminating arrest of accounts of the private company. Funds in the accounts were received in a result of a corrupt scheme: in December 2016, the building of the State Enterprise Krayan Plant was bought by the Odesa City Council for inflated price – 185 million UAH.
It is noted that the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, at the request of the investigators of the General Prosecutor’s Office, ruled to select the suspect a preventive measure in the form of custody, with an alternative in the form of a pledge of UAH 2 million.
