After analyzing information on road accidents from 2007 to 2016, EU experts came to the conclusion that five of the most dangerous countries can be identified for those who are driving.
According to the report the EU about road accidents, unsafe for drivers of the country, settled in anti-rating as follows:
1. Austria;
2. Germany;
3. Belgium;
4. Slovenia;
5. Portugal.
At the same time, the safest roads are Denmark, Cyprus, Finland, France and Poland (the countries are listed from the safest to the less safe).
It should be noted that currently, in average, 25,600 people die on the roads of EU countries annually. 1.4 million receive injuries of varying severity.
In Ukraine in 2016, the year that is the final in the study, 3 thousand 410 people died, and 33 thousand 613 people suffered. According to the World Health Organization, the death rate from road accidents in Ukraine is 13.5 people per 100 thousand of the population, which is twice the average in the EU countries.
