Rescuers are preparing to ensure the safety of pilgrims who will fly to Uman on Jewish New Year

Employees of the State Emergency Service will take all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims during the celebration of the Jewish New Year in the city of Uman in the Cherkassy oblast, the press service of the SES.

«All necessary measures will be taken from our side within the competence of the Service for the safe celebration of Rosh Hashanah», head of the State Emergency Situations Ministry, Nikolai Chechetkin, assured.
In turn, the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Eliav Belotserkovski noted that the event, which annually gathers pilgrims from different countries in Uman, is the largest in the world outside of Israel.

SES noted that together with local authorities, the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine, a set of measures for interaction in the event of emergencies and fires, as well as a response plan, was developed. In the places of mass stay of pilgrims around the clock will be on duty rescuers and a medical helicopter.

Recall that the celebration of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah will be held in Uman from 5 to 14th September.
