Average monthly income of an internally displaced person in June 2018 in Ukraine was about 2 thousand UAH, according to the study of the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine and Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.
«Average monthly income per household member of internally displaced persons continued to decline from December 2017 and in June 2018 amounted to 2,090 UAH», document says.
According to the research, in December 2017 the average monthly income of the migrants was 2446 UAH.
«Such a decrease may be due to a decrease in the number of internally displaced persons employed, as well as those who call wages the main source of income», study said.
According to the survey results, as of the beginning of June, average monthly income of the majority of migrant households (58%) does not exceed 5 thousand UAH: 31% of respondents noted that their average monthly income is from 3 thousand UAH to 5 thousand UAH, 23% receive from 1,5 thousand UAH to 3 thousand UAH, 4% – up to 1,5 thousand UAH.
At the same time, 42% of the respondents reported that their income exceeds 5 thousand UAH: 19% said that the income is from 5 thousand UAH to 7 thousand UAH, 14% – from 7 thousand UAH to 11 thousand UAH, 9% reported that their income is more than 11 thousand UAH per month.
