United States and Canada recognized Guaido as Venezuela’s president

On January 23, Venezuela’s opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself interim president and sworn in. He was recognized by the United States and Canada.
U.S. President Donald Trump has officially recognized the former head of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Juan Guaido as the acting president of Venezuela.
“Today, I officially recognize the head of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Juan Guaido, as interim president of Venezuela,” the US president said in a statement.
In addition, Trump called on the world community to recognize Guaido.
“We call on the governments of other countries in the Western Hemisphere to recognize the head of the National Assembly, Mr Guaido, as interim president of Venezuela, and continue constructive work to support his attempts to restore constitutional order in Venezuela,” Trump said.
Canada also recognized the head of the Venezuelan opposition, Juan Guaido, as the Venezuela’s new president. This was announced by the official Canadian government, Reuters reports.
As The Journalist reported, China provided 60 scholarships for students from Ukraine.
