US, NATO begin largest military exercise in last 16 years

Today, October 25, NATO is launching strategic exercises Trident Juncture 2018 in Norway. It will last until November 7, 112.Ukraine reported.

Trident Juncture will include all kinds of armed forces, 45 thousand military personnel, 10,000 vehicles, 150 aircraft and 70 ships. All 29 NATO allies will participate in large-scale military exercises, as well as alliance partners Finland and Sweden.
It is noted that the Trident Juncture 2018 exercise will be NATO’s biggest exercise over the past 16 years and will become a simulation of repulsing an attack on one of the countries of the alliance.
The carrier-based strike group of the US Navy led by the nuclear aircraft carrier Harry Truman, as well as the French amphibious assault ship Dixmude (L9015) and French frigates Brittany and Latouche-Tréville have already approached the shores of Norway.
