The US Federal Register published a report, that introducing a new sanctions against major state-owned weapons trading company Rosoboronexport.
According to the State Department experts, the Russian company violated the INKSNA law prohibiting the supply of goods, services and technologies that can be used to create nuclear weapons, to Iran, Syria and North Korea.
The decision on sanctions was approved on April 30, and will come into force on May 9. The sanctions will last for two years – the «Voice of America» reported.
According to the report, American companies are prohibited from any business relations with Rosoboronexport and affiliated companies. The ban will not apply to the current contract for supplying of Mi-17 helicopters to the Afghan Air Force.
As «The Journalist» reported, the EU intends to expand the sanctions list against Russia.
