EU parliament to start ratifying Brexit deal next week

The European Parliament expects to begin next week its procedure for approving the Brexit deal negotiated between London and Brussels, Reuters reported.

MP, lawmaker Danuta Hubner has announced her expectations the Brexit agreement would be submitted to the European Parliament on Wednesday-Thursday, so that deputies could complete ratification before March 29.
Also, Guy Verhofstadt, parliament’s Brexit pointman, said at the session on Tuesday that starting the process would send an important signal.
“This means there is no renegotiation possible for us of the Withdrawal Agreement. If there is renegotiation possible, it’s only the Political Declaration in which we have nothing against a more deep future relationship between the EU and the UK,” he said.
