Law enforcers exposed two Ukrainian citizens who has organized the movement of illegal migrants across the state border of Ukraine. This is the press service of the prosecutor’s office reports.

The men came to the attention of law enforcement officers in the spring of 2018, when, in collusion with other unidentified persons, illegally transferred three illegal migrants – citizens of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka across the state border of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
“Foreigners were settled in a rented house in Kyiv, where they lived for some time. Later, the attackers tried to illegally transport them across the state border of Ukraine to Hungary outside the checkpoints, but were exposed by law enforcement officers,” the message says.

As part of the criminal proceedings, were conducted searches during which were seized documents with signs of forgery, including passports, visas, and unregistered weapons.

"The investigation established the involvement of defendants and their accomplices in the organization of illegal transportation to the countries of the European Union another 15 foreigners, who illegally entered Ukraine and were there illegally," noted in the department.

Two attackers were announced suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 332 (Organization of the smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Defendants face from 5 to 7 years in prison. Other participants of the crime are being established.
As The Journalist reported, a citizen of Uzbekistan offered the border guards a USD 500 bribe for permission of entry to Ukraine for two his compatriots.
