Moldovan Constitutional Court ruled to temporarily suspend country’s President Igor Dodon powers. This is reported by point.md local inform agency.
At the request of a group of MPs, members of the Democratic Party of Moldova, the court has suspended again the presidential powers. It is noted that the Constitutional Court’s decision is connected with the refusal of Dodon to appoint a number of ministers whose candidacies was proposed by the Prime Minister. After the suspension of Dodon’s powers, the Head of Parliament, as Acting president, has the right to sign a decree on the appointment of ministers.
«In this case, the powers of the Head of State can be delegated to the Head of Parliament or to the Prime Minister,» – said the Head of the Constitutional Court Mihai Poalelungi.
