Starobelsky District Court of Lugansk Oblast has extended the arrest of ex-head of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Olexander Yefremov, who is suspected of high treason, for two months.
This is reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine on its official Facebook page.
«In August 9, a regular meeting was held in the Starobelsky District Court of Lugansk region in criminal proceedings on charges of Yefremov in committing criminal offenses under Part 3 of Article 110, part 1 of Article 111, part 1 of Article 258-3, part 3 of Article 27, Article 341, part 5 of Article 27, Article 341 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. During the trial, the court extended the preventive measure in the form of custody for accused Yefremov until October 7,» – the report said.
The next court session will be held today, August 10, during which the prosecution’s evidence is planned to be studied.
As The Journalist reported, Kyiv Court of Appeal left Savchenko in custody for 57 days.
