Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulana Suprun declared her readiness to head the Ministry of Health in the new government.
Suprun said this in an interview with Deutsche Welle, answering the question of whether she agrees to head the Ministry of Health in the new government after the parliamentary elections.
“Depending on who will enter the new government, I am ready to head the ministry. If there [in the government] will be people who will block changes that we try to implement … well, how can we work with people who have opposing ideas?” Suprun said.
She added that “we will see what happens over the next six months and are ready to work with any constructive political force to explain course of the reforms and provide industry with the necessary funding.”
Suprun also stressed that the Team of Volodymyr Zelensky expressed support for the reforms.
“We are ready to present the changes, but insist that they have already begun and are irreversible. The second stage of the reform begins in the summer, and the third – and the last – on changes in funding – from 2020,” the head of the Ministry of Health noted.
As The Journalist reported, Suprun said that about 70% ambulance calls don’t match medical teams’ profile activities.
