TCG parties agreed on new ceasefire in Donbass from July 27

At the online meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, which was attended by Ukraine, the OSCE and Russia, the parties decided on new regime of a complete and comprehensive ceasefire on the demarcation line in Donbas from 00:01 a.m. of July 27, 2020, the President’s Office reports.

“The breakthrough in the work of the TCG in this direction is the result of the effective work of the Ukrainian delegation with the support of our international partners in Berlin and Paris, as well as the work of political advisers and foreign ministers of the countries involved in the Normandy-format talks,” the message reads.

The President’s office clarified that on July 22, at a meeting of the TCG, the parties, mediated by the OSCE, agreed on the implementation of measures to reinforce the ceasefire until the full settlement of the international armed conflict in Ukraine’s Donbas.”

“The corresponding measures were agreed at the TCG by Ukraine and Russia and backed by the OSCE,” the message reads.

The President’s Office also added that the regime of compliance with The full and comprehensive ceasefire – if the other side abides by it – is a basic prerequisite for the fulfillment of the Minsk accords and opens the way for the implementation of other provisions of these agreements.

“Ukraine has once again reaffirmed its full readiness to comply with the agreements reached during the Normandy summit in Paris in December and its adherence to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine will facilitate and support the fulfilment of these measures,” the President’s Office said.

President’s Office: Representatives of ORDLO territories will take part in TCG work on ongoing basis.
