Yulia Tymoshenko stated that the current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko does not intend to hold elections and is preparing a plan aimed at introducing a martial law in the country that will help him to retain power. This Tymoshenko told on the air of the TV channel «UA: PERSHYI».
«Now a deep negotiation process has begun with those who lead the so-called «LNR-DNR» – that is, in fact, with people who today occupy part of Ukraine. Poroshenko wants to initiate the outbreak of war. He wants more territories of Ukraine to be captured. He wants everything to burn … He wants to introduce martial law in order not to hold elections», the message says.
Tymoshenko emphasizes the danger of such a development of events, and promises to prevent him in every possible way.
«I want to warn Poroshenko: if, God forbid, he will go this way – in fact, the beginning of a new military escalation in order to preserve his power and not hold elections – the whole world will know about this, the Ukrainian people will know about this , and we will not let you do this!»- said Tymoshenko.
Earlier «Journalist» reported that during the elections the European Commission can introduce freedom of speech monitoring in Ukraine.
