“On May 29, at 5:15 pm, Mikheil Saakashvili flies from Warsaw to Boryspil,” she wrote.
At the same time, Saakashvili called the return of Ukrainian citizenship by President Volodymyr Zelensky a ‘strong step of a worthy president’.
“I think that the fact that I was deprived of citizenship was a cowardly step by an unworthy president, and the fact that Zelensky returned citizenship is a worthy, bold step by a worthy president,” Saakashvili added.
Saakashvili also called Ukraine his second home.
In addition, according to the spokesman for the state border service, Oleh Slobodyan, the border guards will not prevent Saakashvili from returning to Ukraine.
“Any citizen of Ukraine can freely cross the state border of Ukraine,” said Slobodyan.
It should be noted that the leader of “Batkivschyna” Yulia Tymoshenko said that the returning to Saakashvili his Ukrainian citizenship is the restoration of justice.
“I said then, I’ll say it now: depriving Mikheil Saakashvili of Ukrainian citizenship was a political revenge made by Petro Poroshenko. Legal chaos and flagrant injustice. But we all know that there is justice, it is worth fighting for it!” noted Tymoshenko.
