President Petro Poroshenko said that the trade turnover between Ukraine and the United States has increased by 70% over a little more than a year.
The Head of State said this during a meeting with the US President for National Security John Bolton.
According to Poroshenko, economic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States now allows to sum up certain results.
«Our turnover has increased by 70% over a little more than a year. No country in the world demonstrates such growth, and this is the implementation of my agreements at the White House last year that we reached with President Donald Trump,» – Poroshenko said.
The Head of State said that the matter concerns the supply of American coal at Ukrainian stations, the supply of American nuclear fuel at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, investments in the construction of a centralized storage of spent nuclear fuel, and investments in the agricultural sector, and the supply of railway locomotives.
«I am confident that we can take additional steps to expand Ukraine’s cooperation with the United States right now,» – Poroshenko said.
