Trump extended sanctions against Russia for a year due to occupation of the Crimea

US President Donald Trump extended for another year, until March 6, 2020, the effect of several packages of sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation by administration of Barack Obama due to Russia’s occupation of the Crimea.
This is stated in the statement of the White House.
The document says that the United States continues to see a greater threat to the national security and foreign policy of America because of the actions and policies of the people of the Russian Federation who "undermine democratic processes and institutions in Ukraine, threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity and contribute to misappropriation of his property."
At the same time, it is said that this message should be published in the Federal Register of Official Documents of the USA and transmitted to Congress.
As reported by “Journalist”, the Council of the European Union extended the sanctions for a year against Yanukovych and his 11 colleagues.
