US President Donald Trump warned China and Russia that America would surpass them in an arms race in case an agreement on new missile treaty will not be concluded.

The head of the White House reported this at the second annual "The State of the Union" speech in front of both houses of the US Congress, the Daily Express writes.

Trump recalled that in 1987 the United States concluded an agreement with Russia, having agreed to limit and reduce the missile potential of both countries.

“While we fulfilled the contract, literally ‘to the letter’, Russia has repeatedly violated its terms. This has been happening for many years. For this reason I announced the United States is officially withdrawing from the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF),” said Trump.

“We really had no choice. Perhaps we can negotiate a different treaty, including China and others. In this case, we will spend much more and exceed all of the innovations,” Trump said.

As The Journalist reported, Canada did not let Russian media to Lima Group meeting.
