U.S. President Donald Trump signed a decree, according to which the scandalous practice of separating families of illegal migrants is being eliminated. This is reported by Reuters.
According to the new decree, families of migrants were given the opportunity to stay together. This will provide security at the border, which will be equal if not greater than previously.
«I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated», – Trump said.
It is noted that the signing of the new decree was welcomed by Mexico.
Recall that in the past six weeks in April and May, nearly 2,000 children being separated from their parents who attempted to enter the US illegally. The practice of separation of families has caused discontent of a number of countries.
