Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union will be a positive development for Ireland, said the US President Donald Trump.
This was stated by Trump during his first official visit to Ireland, as Reuter’s reports.
“Brexit will be a positive development for Ireland. The problem of the Irish border is serious, but many minds are working on resolving it. This issue will be resolved in the best way possible”, the American president noted.
It is also noted that on June 4, Trump promised Britain a “phenomenal” bargain after Brexit. However, the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned last month that her fellow lawmakers would not agree to such a deal if Brexit ended up with negative consequences for peace in Ireland.
As The Journalist reported, British Prime agreed to vote on a new Brexit referendum.
