The Central Election Commission (CEC) plans to spend UAH 166.3 million to print ballot papers.
This is evidenced by data on the tender for printing ballots, which are made public in the ProZorro system.
The report said that the state enterprise Polygraph Combine “Ukraina” for securities’ production is the only company that has the material and technical base, as well as production capacity necessary for the manufacture of ballot papers.
“The CEC decided to cancel the registration of a candidate for the post of President of Ukraine no later than 22 days before election day (Part 1 of Article 56 of the Law), that is, until March 8, 2019 inclusive. Taking into account the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On the Election of the President of Ukraine", the Commission must ensure the production of ballots within 16 calendar days," said in a statement.
It is noted that the Polygraph Combine “Ukraina” should produce 60 million 359 thousand 600 bulletins.
