Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov announced the possibility of provocations in the Azov Sea, in connection with the expansion of Russia’s Airborne Troops presence in the region.
Turchynov said this during a meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Judith Gough, the National Security and Defense Council press service reported.
Turchynov informed British Ambassador about the aggravation of the situation in the east of Ukraine due to constant aggression and intense shelling by the Russian-occupation forces.
«At the same time, the Joint Forces are ready to respond adequately to any provocations», – he stressed.
The parties also discussed the aggravation of the situation in the Sea of Azov in connection with the expansion of the Russian Federation military presence.
«The expansion of the landing capabilities of the Russian Federation in this region indicates the possibility of provocations on their part on the Azov coast», – Turchynov said.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibility of conducting a peacekeeping operation in the east of Ukraine.
As «The Journalist» reported, Tuchynov said that Russian troops are ready to conduct a large-scale continental war.
