Oleksandr Turchynov stated that he does not serve as the Secretary of National Defence and Security Council (NSDC) of Ukraine since the letter of resignation was signed by the president on May 19.
Turchynov reported this on Facebook.
“Lately some media distribute information that allegedly I still hold the post of NSDC Secretary. I remind you that on May 17 I appealed to the President with a letter of resignation, and on May 19 the respective decree was signed,” he noted.
“Since the President’s decree on “Resignation of Turchynov from the post of the Secretary of National Defence and Security Council of Ukraine” was published, I no longer hold this post. The statement that allegedly I serve as NSDC Secretary is nonsense which is not true and contradicts the Ukrainian legislation,” Turchynov said.
As The Journalist reported, Turchynov said the FSB and the General Staff of the Russian Federation should be recognized as terrorist organizations.
