On Saint Valentine’s Day a man set his ex-house on fire

On St. Valentine’s Day in the city of Rzhyshchyv (Kyiv oblast), a man set on fire house of his former girlfriend. Thus, he wanted to take revenge on a woman for the fact that she began to abuse alcohol, which caused the break in their relationship writes Ukrainian News.

The fire destroyed the roof and some household things in the house. Police officers detained the arsonist. He was a 53-year-old local resident. He confessed his crime and gave true testimony. It turned out that the man drank all day, and then went to his ex, who was not at home at that time. There he lit curtains on window with matches, after which he disappeared.
It is known that a few days earlier, a 46-year-old woman, owner of a burned-out house, applied to law enforcement officers. She noted that the former concubine had beaten her and threatened to set the house on fire. Upon the beating of a woman, criminal proceedings were opened.
