U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the U.S. Navy Secretary Richard Spencer has been fired. Trump wrote about this on Twitter.

U.S. Ambassador to Norway Admiral Kenneth Braithwaite will be nominated in his place.

“Navy Secretary Richard Spencer’s service was terminated by Secretary of Defense Mark Esper. I thank Richard for his service and responsibility … I will nominate Admiral and current Ambassador to Norway Kenneth Braithwaite (for the post) of the Navy Secretary. A man of great achievement and success, I know that Kenneth will do an amazing job,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The Secretary of Defence, Mark Esper, asked Spencer to resign, supposedly due to a lack of confidence against the background of the controversial case of the U.S. Navy commando Edward Gallagher, who was accused of war crimes in Afghanistan.

Spencer was asked to resign after it became known that the Minister of the Navy secretly invited White House employees not to interfere in the case against Gallagher.

As The Journalist reported, Giuliani associated provided US Congress with entries related to Ukraine.
