The U.S. government has imposed a new package of sanctions against Iran’s judicial and penitentiary systems because of the harassment and abuse of individuals opposed to the regime, Reuters reports.
“The U.S. imposed sanctions on several Iranian officials and institutions for gross violations of human rights,” US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said.
The limitation applies to two judges of the Iranian regime, two courts and two penitentiary institutions, where people disagree with the situation in the country were persecuted.
