The United States is ready, if necessary, to deploy intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles in Europe to contain the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Assistant to the President for National Security of the United States Robert O’Brien, The Nation reports.
“We have withdrawn from the treaty, we are building hypersonic weapons, we are building ballistic missile delivery systems that will help keep America safe… protect our allies and contain China. We will deploy the same missiles, if necessary, in Europe to contain Russia,” he said.
