Ukrainian prisoner of war, seaman Andrii Eider, who is currently in a Russian detention center, was diagnosed with hepatitis B and C.
According to his lawyer Oleksandr Markov on Facebook, Andrii could only be infected in a Russian prison.
"Andrii brought the same epicrisis, which was given to him at departure from Matrosskaya Tishina prison. The following is just a quote: Anti-HCV (hepatitis C virus) is positive, HBsAg (hepatitis B) is positive," wrote a human rights activist, noting that these analyzes were dated November 20, 2018 – then Ukrainian sailors had not yet gotten into Russian captive, as it happened on November 25th.
Thus, these analyzes could not be taken in Russia.
In addition, it should be noted that the information on the presence of hepatitis B and C. Eider reported only when he was transferred to "Lefortovo" – while Ukrainian sailor was in Matrosskaya Tishina prison he didn’t report about his virus.
