During 2020, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will allocate more than £ 37 million to support the further reforms in Ukraine.

This was stated by the State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain Lord (Tariq) Ahmad of Wimbledon, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“The UK will support the independent media in Ukraine and the Eastern European region through a new three-year project with a total budget of £ 9 million for the further progress in judicial, electoral and economic reforms. Great Britain and Canada remain among the leaders regarding the support provided by the international community and aimed at implementation of the fateful reforms in Ukraine”, the report says.

It is emphasized that “it is important for Ukraine to continue cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the European Union and other donors to complete these reforms.”

“The UK will allocate more than £ 37 million to support further reforms in Ukraine in the fields of defense, peacekeeping, fighting corruption, resolving humanitarian issues, ensuring equal opportunities and protecting women’s rights”, the report said.
