In a short time, official negotiations between Ukraine and the European Union on the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding, specifying the list of conditions for the fourth Macro-Financial Assistance programme of € 1 billion, will begin.
This is reported on official website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Finance recalled, that the legislative decision of the European Union to provide Ukraine with € 1 billion in macro-financial assistance has come into force today, July 9.
According to the text of the decision, Ukraine and EU Commission will have to sign a memorandum specifying the conditions for receiving assistance. Than the agreement must be ratified by the Ukrainian parliament.
The decision also states that the program is designed for 2.5 years with 15-year maturity period. The loan funds will be provided within two tranches.
As «The Journalist» reported, Finance Minister stated that there will be no default in Ukraine.
