During the EU-Ukraine summit in Brussels, Ukraine and the European Investment Bank (EIB) within the framework of the project «Improving the urban road safety in Ukraine» have signed a financial agreement. This is reported by «Segodnya.ua» news agency.
It is reported that, in accordance with the terms of agreement, Ukraine can get a loan to improve her urban road safety.
In particular, measures will be aimed at reducing mortality, number of accidents and injuries in the streets of cities. Will be created safe traffic conditions for road users, improving the comfort of the city for public transport passengers, pedestrians, cyclists, drivers. Will be eliminated places of concentration of traffic accidents and areas with high accident rate.
It is noted that the project worth EUR 75 million and it is planned to be implemented in the cities of Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Kamianets-Podilskyi.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, Ukraine and Serbia agreed to sign Free Trade Agreement.
