Ukraine and Serbia will hold a meeting on Trade Cooperation

The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, agreed with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, to hold the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Serbian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the near future.

As the press service of the head of the Ukrainian statereported the meeting was held yesterday, July 3rd, within the framework of the official visit of the President of Ukraine to Belgrade.
Also, the sides discussed prospects for economic cooperation and noted the positive dynamics of bilateral trade growth.

Poroshenko welcomed the progress of Serbia in the negotiations with the European Union on accession and reaffirmed the readiness to complete the negotiations on concluding a bilateral protocol on Serbia’s accession to the WTO.

Also, the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Serbia paid considerable attention to strengthening cooperation in the field of European integration and the importance of exchanging experience on the issues of gradual integration into the digital market and the Energy Union.

As the «Journalist» reported, Ukrainians received a 90-day visa-free stay in Serbia.
