Ukraine and Turkey intend to lift restrictions on the implementation of bilateral and transit freight traffic, starting in 2019 writes UNIAN.

Ministry of Infrastructure reported that the parties agreed on this at meeting of Ukrainian-Turkish Mixed Commission on International Road Transport, which took place on October 3-4 in Ankara.

«The most important achievement is the agreement on the transition to an unauthorized system for the implementation of bilateral and transit freight traffic between Ukraine and Turkey. The parties agreed by the end of October 2018 to work out the corresponding draft Protocol on amending the existing bilateral agreement», it was informed.

In addition, until signing and entry into force of the relevant changes, parties agreed, starting from 2019, to exchange additional permits for carrying out unlimited number of bilateral shipments to meet the needs of domestic carriers.
